Yakisoba banzai!

Sorry for the lack of updates and communication via IRC or the forums. I have been very busy grinding like crazy. Yakisoba has been resurrected last night, and we have 34 members inside now. I’ve given some people early access to Yakisoba because they show great potential, and it’s a waste to not have them flood our guild chat, heh.

I’ve also updated the family list and warchest page, so do check it out.

We’ve experienced some slowdown in our trainings because the warp scrolls were not sold at all, and as a result we had to do a lot of running around. But this bug has been fixed just a couple of hours ago, so those coming in on the 17th won’t have to worry about that.

We’ve also experience lagspikes already from the server, and I must say there servers are going to die once people start pouring in on the 17th. All the best in getting a grinding spot in AQM or Tetra.

As for those members playing in the ppOBT, in a couple more hours, we will be hitting Porto Bello and we are trying to grind as much as we can because the server will be going down for (yet another) maintainance from 6am to 11am.

It’s been really fun and all, and we can’t wait for the rest of you to join us. Don’t worry, we’ve got plenty of 1337 stuff to share with you guys. See you guys on the 17th. And the rest of those who want to join Yakisoba, see you on the 20th.

Chances are, it’s going to be full very soon. Eh eh eh. Haha.

The Eve of pOBT

Okay Yakisobans, this is it.

Tomorrow is the big day. For the few that cannot start with us tomorrow, it is most unfortunate, but we will meet up again. I’ll be grinding full speed and I’ll get Yakisoba up. I hope everyone has begun organizing their mini squads of 2-3 players.

Your pobt validation codes will work at 10am tomorrow, so wake up at 9.30am, validate that little bitch and wait for the floodgates at 12pm. Oh and get a good night rest too. I wish the best to everyone. I hope to see everyone in the Tetra area at around 3pm? Lol.

MADNESS? THIS IS YAKISOBARTANS!!!!!11111ONEONE

Restructing the Yakisoba purpose

After a mole has crept into our forums and IRC channel, I have been forced to learn to be less trusting of people. This is very unfortunate because I have always enjoy the company of other players, but apparently a single player does not respect boundary rules. Instead of wasting time playing Infernal Affairs with that mole, I have discussed with some core members and we will decided to review our structure and recruitment plans.

Yakisoba Members
Firstly, Yakisoba will no longer accept all former CBT Yakisoba members into the guild. This is because we have come to a consensus that while most of us have made the effort to maintain ties via the forums and IRC, a number of you have not, and thus your are as good as a stranger to us. If you wish to return, kindly contact me and I will review your case. There a a couple of members out there that I would love to have back, but because of your inactiveness, I am unable to list you as a core member.

The following Yakisoba members will be considered as core members, and their access to Yakisoba will be immediate in pOBT:

Cage, SilverCrimz, Voyage, Hype, Ashes, Opelxfrost, Kuchiki, Sabre, Keitaro, Lyre, Tohsaka, Sinistral, Testarossa, Hellsing, Yuki, Huang, Luciora, Lowell, Sagitis, Evil, Kelv, Alex, Sora, Jay and Jae.

These core members will make up the bulk of the elite Yakisoba players. You are required to hit level 60 by the 20th of May. I understand that some members may have school, but don’t worry, we will help cover each other in our usual squad parties. You may register at the new forum now with your preferred family name and I will validate you.

We have a couple of extra ppOBT passes that we have won and we will to distribute it to all core members and you will be able to start together with the rest of the guild.

Players interested in Joining Yakisoba
Players who are interested to join us, the requirements stays the same. However, our cap will continue to increase by the day due to in order to keep the standards of Yakisoba up. It is also good if you can join our channel on the IRC or on the forums and introduce yourself. Leave us a good impression and we will welcome you to our family.

There are a number of candidates that we have identified from our IRC channels, and those players will definitely join us as soon as they meet our requirements.

Yakisoba Structure

Yakisoba’s guild structure will only be implemented when we have which an optimal amount of members where such a system will aid the guild efficiently in GVG and Boss Raids. Core members will be considered as senior members in pOBT.

Meanwhile, all members please keep a look on for your potential squad captains.

Yakisoba Goals, Directions and Aggression Policies
A couple of people have mentioned to me that they are not clear with some of our policies, so allow me to announce all of this formally on black and white. Yakisoba is a hardcore guild. We play hard, work hard and laugh hard together. While we have a rigid hiereachy system, we are a family and our guild channel and chats always reflect our bond with each other. We will focus mainly in Colony War, GVG events, PVP events and Boss Raids.

Our goal is to be the best, and nothing less.

I will also formally announce that we are at the moment, Neutral with all factions. Whatever badblood that we had with existing CBTs factions will be wiped clean. We intend to start on a new slate for the pOBT, and will not carry any grudges. But I believe as we develop later into the game, there will be more competition and guild rivalry will be inadvertent and things will change.

Since competition is necessary in order to achieve power, we will welcome all challenge. May the best guild rule Vespola.

Yakisoba Forum Notice

Attention all Yakisobans, please note that I will be wiping the forums tomorrow (instead of the 14th like I originally planned). Kindly back up whatever necessary information you require. This wipe is to ensure that our forums will start on a clean slate together with pOBT, as well as a member list reset. Please note that I will bring the forum down for down maintainence for a couple of hours so I can get things sorted out.

wipingforums.jpg
Once the forums is up, all former CBT members please re-register yourself again. But please register your chosen family name as your forum account name. This is to ensure that there will be no confusion with the other members. As soon as you have registered, please leave a message either here, or on the lobby forum (I will create a thread for you to post) stating who you are and I will validate you.

As soon as you are validated, you will have access to the inner forums.

New members who are planning to join Yakisoba please take note: You will not be accepted into the forums until you have been formally accepted into Yakisoba. That would mean in simple english: Level 40 + 5,000 vis + Yes from Tsubaki. So I would suggest you register later since your if your account do not get validated in a week, it will be deleted off the server.

That will be all for now. Just 2 more days to go now. I hope everyone will hang in there!

It’s frying hot!

Whoa. It’s sizzling hot here on the frying pan. I’ve been getting a lot of request, secret pm, love letters and bribery in regards to our recruitment on the 20th of May. Just how hot it is? Let me throw in the number:

22 requests.

Well it’s just requests anyway. Just show us your level 40 characters and 5,000vis and we’ll talk.

At the moment we have roughly about 15 to 18 core Yakisoba members, but I’m sure more will rise from the dead as soon as I summon them with the Ring of Yakisoba. Lol. But it’s good to know that we can get a force of around 30-40 people by the 20th. Looks like we can start early with guild quests, boss raids and all.

lolgirls.jpg

Oh and what’s amazing? There’s a number of girls who have expressed interest in joining us! I wonder if we can even form an all-girls squad in Yakisoba. Hahaha. If you’re a girl and you want to be part of Yakisoba, we welcome you to join us! Even though I’ve been told that MMORPGs actually stands for Many Men Online Role Play Girls and I should be more carefully with people claiming to be girls, I’m not gonna demand girls to send their pictures to me. Hahaha.

God, I’m so pumped up. 3 days and 14 hours more to go for those with ppOBT passes! Oh and do join us on the #Yakisoba IRC channel. It’s really noisy lately. Oh and the weather in Singapore is a real bitch lately, so everyone please rest well and drink more water.

You want a piece of Yakisoba?

yakisobarecriitment.jpg

I quite happy to say that we Yakisoba, have constantly set benchmarks that have inspired other guilds to adopt, modify and apply it into their own guild.

Well let’s set our next benchmark. By the 20th of May 2007, 4 days after the official launch of pOBT, all members are expected to hit at least Level 40. We will proceed with our faction recruitment from that day on and the basic requirement will be Level 40 and of course, the usual 5,000 vis entrance fee. I’ll increase the basic level requirements as the guild grows.

So for those who are interested to join us, come to us on the 20th with a level 40 character, and we’ll talk.

6 more days to the launch!

PS: All Yakisoba members, please read this.

PSS: I will be updating the guild pages this week with fresh information, together with the confirmed structure plan as well as how we will go about with it. So meanwhile, please be patient about it.

Yakisoba Guild Dinner

Okay, I hope everyone hasn’t forgotten about this.

After some consideration, Hrin and I have decided to shift it to this Saturday or Sunday in the evening, so those who have school can come for this. Let me know which day is better for you.

Please let me know ASAP.

Yakisoba Structural Proposal

As mentioned in my previous post, I have a structural proposal that i would like to hear from all Yakisoba members. Basically the objective of having this hierarchy system is to promote individual growth as a player as well as contribution to Yakisoba in many ways. This also help instills a sense of belonging, discipline and pride in being a Yakisoba member. We want to be the best faction out there, and so long as our members work and believe in that vision, Yakisoba will achieve it.

Having said that, please take a look at the proposal and give me feedbacks on whether you feel it’s worth implementing, or whether there are certain improvements or adjustments you have in mind.

yakisobastruc.jpg
The Faction Leader role is to ensure unity in the faction. He/she is required to keep the faction together and provide a direction in which the Yakisoba will take. Squad Captains, together with the Faction leader and Vice-Leader, will lead the faction into greater heights by creating, implementing and upholding rules and regulations. The Faction leader is required to post regular news about the Faction and its surrounding, to keep all members informed at all time.

The Vice-Leader is the 2nd in command of Yakisoba. He/she is required to be attentive to potential issues problems that may arise in the faction and report them to the Faction leader, where corrective measures and action will be taken. The Vice-Leader is also in charge of administration such as updating the Faction’s Blog.

The Squad Captains will be in-charge of a small group of members comprising of Senior Members, Members and Recruits. Squad Captains are expected to be very active members with good leadership skills. They are expected to be able to lead their own squads into battles and be observant and mindful of each member. Being high leveled is naturally expected of them, but it is not a necessity.

The number of Squad Captains will increase as Yakisoba grow. With a cap limit of 100 members per faction, it is ideal to have a roughly have 5 Squad Captains, but may expand if the need arises.

Senior Members are members whose contributions to the factions have been recognized. Squad Captains will recommend members for promotions.

The rest of Yakisoba members will fall under the Members category. This group is the backbone and pillar of Yakisoba, and has their own say in electing Squad Captains.

Recruits are players who are new to the Yakisoba family. They will be observed by all Yakisoba members, and at the end of a certain period, they will either be recommended as Members, or be requested to leave.

If you find it hard to imagine how it would turn out to be, I think the best visual example I can give would be Bleach’s Gotei 13. Of course our hierarchy is a much watered down version, but basically I want to empower Squad Captains with such leadership position. It would be a waste if we have potential members with great leadership experience and not let them use it and contribute to Yakisoba.

I can already see potential members becoming Zaraki Kenpachi, Kuchiki Byakuya and hell, I don’t even mind having a Unohana Retsu or Soifon.

Yakisoba Cage Mode

Alright, with another 10/12 days more to go, everyone should already have more or less finalized your builds and all. I just want to find out who’s going to playing an insane amount of time, aka Cage-mode. I will probably be playing 20 hours a day for the 1st 2 days or so, and I’m balance out accordingly. Need to know who are the potential hardcore Yakisoba members first so we can form parties or something.

I understand that most of you still have school/going to NS/etc, but try if possible to gain as much level as possible. Because your levels will roughly determine the recruitment cap of Yakisoba. There has been an overwhelming amount of requests to join Yakisoba, but I’m holding out first. I want to see their leveling abilities first before we go with recruitment.

Oh and if everyone has read the forums by now, Cage has left Granado Espada for World of Warcraft. It is a great loss to us, and I hope everyone can try to convince him to return. Even Hrin’s doing her job. Lol. Ah well, but if Cage truly feels that he belongs in WoW, then I wish him all the best.

You will be missed dearly, but should you choose to return to Granado Espada, Yakisoba will always welcome you back.

And lastly, in a couple of days time, I will be releasing a structural plan for Yakisoba members. This will basically be the standard rank and file we will adopt and hopefully integrate into Yakisoba.

That’s all for now. Goddamnit, I’m having major Granado Espada cravings.

Countdown: 14/16 days left

With the client up, the next hurdle is the painful wait….
