Raid Captain Promotions

As of today, after observing these 2 gentlemen who have selfless spend a great deal of time calling for the faction for boss raids, I hereby promote

LoK
Defrance

to Raid Captains of Yakisoba. They have been given Deputy powers and will have the ablility to change faction topics and such. All members, please give them their due respects and listen to them when they call on you for boss raids. At the same time, our new raid captains, please be mindful of your new powers.

But anyway, let’s congratulate LoK and Defrance for their new promotion. Congrats!

Putting the correct answers in place.

A stunning 170 (and still growing) comments, flames and whatnots on the previous entry.

Now that everyone has been given their own space to grief, it’s time to put accusations into it’s proper place. Interestingly, according to the IPs logged, the flaming comments come from the same group of people, who are the ones attempting to smear our name and paint a picture of nasty hate.

We’ve stay mumble on these accusations, and it’s time to give our side of the story.

Yakisoba members bots.
It’s a known fact out there that we do not tolerate bottings, and have kicked out members who have done so. We have never lost a single member to those major bot sweeps that the GM had, and that’s a fact. We’re clean on bots. Our human grinders are much more sophisticated against those program bots.

Yakisoba members have a lot of money because they bot multi accounts/buy vis.
Our money comes from selling our items to people. Apparently these people have a lot of money to pay for our items. I wonder who’s the real botters here, when people will just offer 20 million for 1 Lvl 96 pistol. And so, why do we need to buy/bot vis when we have those botters paying for our items?

Yakisoba members got GM connection to ban people who offend them.
If we really do, we would be submitting IPs of these flamers to our “GM friends” to get you banned for harassment.

Yakisoba members delevel those that PK them.
False, totally false. We never delevel people first. It’s only after when a member gets delevelled do we return it in 10 folds. Most of the time, we’ll simply return the delevel back to any member from the faction that started on us first.

Yakisoba members do not share bosses.
This we are guilty of, especially against our rivals. Simply because game rivalry is necessary to spurn competition. Apparently some people cannot take the heat of competition, they expect to have a nice queuing number for bosses. We only share bosses with our allies, including telling them the time of which the bosses spawns.

Yakisoba members have no life, no future, nothing. They are arrogant showoffs in this game.
One thing that we dislike a lot is personal attacks, especially coming from people who don’t even know us. Our members are mostly working individuals, or students in Universities having their long semester break. We’ve organized gatherings and meetups that are large in scale, and we know each other far more well to know that none of us deserve such a label.

Regarding the big shots comment, I think a lot of people have trouble differentiating achievements and arrogance. We work hard to get to where we are, legit even when the server population bot outnumbers normal players. We achieve them, and we display them like trophies in a cabinet. We didn’t win competitions like just like that. We’re all competitive players. By drawing accusations that we are showing off our achievements, it reveals the jealous nature of these flamers.

Yakisoba is going to fall. No colonies anymore for them.
It’s certainly a great fall for us, since it’s our first taste of defeat from our long standing accomplishments. But we’ll recover. The pain that we have all experience has excited our bloodlust. We’re very driven for a comeback shot, and we’ll hope to see it this week’s war. Colony war hasn’t never been more exciting now that lines are drawn and alliances are forged.

Norgard is being used by Yakisoba
This is a very very nasty accusation. Norgard is an official ally that we have sworn with. We’ve helped them achieve their Lvl 52 faction quest, even though we have never agreed to help any other factions with it. Miracle, once a sworn enemy of us, has shown us a side of his that we can trust with and I am willing to put my name down and say that he’s like a brother. He and his members are capable players and both factions have benefit from each other. Likewise, it can be said that Dominion is using its allies to achieve what they can’t do against us in a one on one battle.

Tsubaki is an evil tyrant and he sends RavaNa to pk people.
I think if you ask my members about me, I’m less of a tyrant than believed to be. I’m strict with rules and conduct with my members, but other than that, most of them are free to do whatever they wish. However, some of them may have had very unfavorable conducts against others, and people have drawn conclusions that I was behind those. Regarding the Ravana statement, here’s a newsflash: RavaNa disses me all the time for being too soft with declaring war on people.

Tsubaki is arrogant for telling Vradical he will reduce their colonies to zero.
I admit I said those exact words. However, what led me to saying these words was because a certain Vradical member chose to hit me with personal attacks, insulting everything from my character, to my looks after he was pked by me. It’s certainly wonderful to see how this has triggered such an incredible uproar, but nobody has approached me for the truth. I was definitely very pissed off at the point of time, but that I’ve looked at it, I’ve shrugged it off already. I’ve nothing against Vradical. Oh and I was told by a certain someone that….

Tsubaki will send RavaNa to PK you if you PM him about his players KS/PKing you.
I laughed at this. Really, this is the best joke I’ve heard in my entire life in Granado Espada. Let me assure you, I don’t. And neither will RavaNa bother listening to me on that, hahah. But the underlying fact is that, it’s a PK server. If my member PKs you, you’re entitled to PK him back. We’ll only step in when you decide to hit under the belt and start to delevel people.

In which, I just lost 14 levels to Baobao and Peacebringer yesterday. Do you see my broading about it? Of course not. It’s part of being in a PK server.

Tsubaki sends a massive number of Yakisoba players to gang up and pk one person.
Firstly, get the Baron system facts right. When you are in Baron mode, you’ve susceptible to attacks from everyone, including your faction mates. What is the point of baroning 1 person with so many members? That will only lead to more friendly fire. It’s an incredibly convincing accusation, but when you look at how the Baron system works, it’s a complete slander. It’s a shame there’s still so many people who don’t know how the Baron system works.

And that’s about it. I’m pretty sure there are more doubts about how Yakisoba and myself works, and I’m quite happy to clarify things, but as advised by some people, all comments will be moderated and screened from now on. I’m personally against limiting a person’s freedom of speech, but this freedom has been abused by too many.

Cheers.

Colony War Results

And the results are in.

Yakisoba is left with 1 Colony after an extreme exhausting battle. We’re down from our original 10 losing to a vastly superior number of players. It’s certainly a very humbling experience, but it makes the last Colony that we hold, oh so much sweeter than having 10 colonies.

050808colonywar.jpg

Even more so when you have the 9 factions on your toe, and 44 members to hold the line. For that I applaud all our members for a fantastic job well done.

The last 30 minutes of Colony War sparked the final and most intensive last standing battle at Lago Celeste. It was almost a scene recreated from 300, where the Spartans were zerged by the Persians (though I must admit I wasn’t really into playing the role of King Leonidas, lol). But it was sure as hell fun and not to mention, very laggy.

The war ended with us thawing an all out combined attack from 9 factions to leave our mark on the map, and not forgetting they all have more HP buffs over us.

But anyway, Congrats to the other factions for their victory! This war certainly has strengthen our resolve, and we certainly look forward to next week.

The 3xth Lvl 100s

With the x2 EXP boos going on, we’ve a lot of member joining the ranks of Lvl 100. And here’s the list of them!

Congrats to all of them! I’m looking forward to more of our members hitting 100 by the end of this 2x exp event. Cheers =D

The V2.1.18 patch and other news

As quoted from Hrin’s latest entry:

Woot! The V2.1.18 patch is available for download now! There are two options of downloads for you over here – the full game client of V2.1.18 or the manual patch of V2.1.18. Just a quick reminder though, it has been password protected because the server side V2.1.18 patch has not yet been installed. Any attempts to install the patch to your current client will result in game client corruption and your current Granado Espada client will be unable to run. We will release the password on 16th August 2007, after we patch the servers during server maintenance.

Grab the file over here. Just make sure you don’t patch your client until the 16th of August (2 weeks more), or your client is screwed.

Also, a couple of quick pokes for everyone:

– Please update your levels and progress here as often as you can.

– The pictures thread is dying! We need more pictures of everyone here!

– The Yakisoba internal event is still on-going, you may start submitting your harvested items to Tsubaki and he will log them down and rank you accordingly. Details of the event can be found here.

Yakisoba’s 1st Internal Event

After discussing it with some members, we will be organizing our first internal event for all members. Details on this event can be found on the forum here, and prizes worth up to 10,000,000 vis is up for grabs for the winners.

Every member is strongly encourage to participate, whether or you you will win the top prize or not. There will also be a score board ranking table, which will allow members to rank themselves against each other not in just grinding, but the participation of these such events.

So what are you waiting for? Check out here for more details.

The 27th, 28th & 29th 100s – Tsubaki, Vinch & Defrance

I apologize for being a little late, for here’s the newest addition to our list of 100s- Tsubaki (27th), Vinch (28th) and Defrance (29th). I’m finally Lvl 100 after such a long time -.-” Work sucks. Also congrats to Vinch, our first girl with a set of Lvl 100 characters. She’s not the first girl to hit Lvl 100 though; that award goes to Salty, but she’s not ranked since only her Catherine is Lvl 100.

Anyway, congrats to all of our new 100s!

First Official Colony War Results: Yakisoba 10

Finally, the day of reckoning has arrived. After the numerous number of trial (and suprise) Colony War that IAHgames has thrown at us, the first official Colony War started at 8pm on Sunday. Around 45 Yakisoba members turned up for this war, and despite being heavily outnumbered, we managed to conquer and hold 10 colonies.

290707colonywar.jpg

For the benefit of some of our members who were unable to turn up for the war, here’s a recount of what happened.

As soon as the war started at 8pm, we took down El Tierra Blanco in a record time of 5 minutes and went on collecting another 4 more maps (Scorching Plateau, Zona Uno, Zona Dos and Ferrucio Junction) before the clock hit 8.30pm. Those maps were met with zero resistance, until we arrived at Lago Celeste, where a huge battle between Dominion occurred. After some initial resistance, Lago fell to us and we proceeded to Rio Aibi.

At this point, it was a battle between defending an onslaught of Dominion and continuing our hell march for more colonies.

We managed to grab El Canon de Diablolica while resisting attacks from Dominion on all our maps. We then attacked Dominion’s control of Tetra Hills together with our ally, Norgard. We lowered the pillar on Tetra Hills to about 50%, and left it to Norgard to take it, but shortly after we left for Topolo Durga, another Dominion controlled colony, Norgard fell to Dominion.

Somewhere at this point Vradical declared war on us and we returned them the favor by conquering one of their colony, Rion Parie. We took an undefended Topolo Durga and went straight for Tetra Hills again. Dominion gathered all her forces there and it was a total blood bath. Vradical then launched and all out attack on our Topolo Durga colony which we succeeded in fending off, while handling the Dominions in Tetra, and yet another zerg rush at Lago Celeste.

Dominion concentrated most of her strength on Lago Celeste and that allowed us to attack and lower the pillar further for Norgard. With 15 minutes left on the clock, Tetra Hills, Dominion’s last colony fell to Norgard. Vradical launched another Topolo attack on us, and Dominion attacked Lago Celeste again. The sheer magnitude of enemies attacking us was amazing. We were clearly outnumbered, but we fended off all attacks again.

The Colony War ended at 10pm and not a single Yakisoba colony fell. It is something we are all very proud about, considering how our biggest rivals have merged under one faction.

All members, I am very very proud of all of you today, today’s victory was certain the biggest and sweetest victory ever. It was the most electrifying and intense war that I have ever experienced, and I’m certainly proud to have all of you here in Yakisoba.

Yakisoba Banzai! Let’s enjoy our week’s worth of colony benefits! =D

Note: This is not a 100% accurate recount, since there were other minor skirmishes not mentioned, but most of the intensive battles that we encountered has been mentioned.
